Are you Driving a VW or a Ferrari?

What sort of business do you have? A VW or a Ferrari?
All thought there is nothing wrong with having a VW most of us want a Ferrari what’s your business, or better still what do you want you business to be…

Why do you think Ferrari’s are so popular, do you think that there well built, maybe its that they look great… or just as a stab in the dark maybe there well marketed!

Most people are completely scared to start marketing… Where do I start? Maybe I should copy the opposition? They seem to be going alright… Does this sound familiar to you.

People who truly succeed in there chosen business do so because they become in love with marketing. Let’s face some facts, everyone is good at marketing they just don’t realise that there even doing it. Let me explain… How many times have you gone out to a new restaurant and the service was exquisite, the staff made being there a joy, the food was spectacular, who did you tell? Some of you would even text, tweeted, face booked or called before you even left the restaurant. My question to you is this Marketing? You bet cha it is. See we are all great marketers because we all do it all the time, with out even thinking about it, but for some strange reason when it comes to our profession or business we get blocked at what to say or how to go about it.

When you change your thoughts around Marketing, your business will jump leap’s and bounds, you will feel more confidant and your business will become fun again… Just like when you first thought about it, you remember before it even existed how excited you were, you were telling all the people that would listen what you where doing and how great it was going to be what colors and furnishings you were having… humm wait a moment you were marketing. So what’s changed, things didn’t go quite to plan, your whole perception of the business changed with staff issues and stress with getting all the behind the scenes stuff done you know the stuff that you hate to do like the taxes, and the wages and paying the bills and the stress of finding the money to even pay the bills. You may even be at a point of why on earth did I do this in the first place, do you know what I mean. Iv been there and I am here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be like that!


You have a few things to consider… Do you truly love what you do? When you started what was the reason for getting started in the first place, how did you feel then? Write it down make notes and if it was for the right reasons rekindle the fire and drive that you had and fall in love with marketing. Or sell up and find you passion.

Step’s to drive your business like a Ferrari

  • Visualise your business as if it was absolutely perfect in every way, what does it look like? Who work’s for you and what are they doing to grow your business? How much profit do you make? Who are your clients / target market? How does this make you feel...
  • Put a plan together, what’s you point of difference over your competours? Why do your customers purchase from you? A plan will help keep you on track and keep you focused. How much money will this cost to run, what’s your price point? How many sales or customers do you need per month, week or day to reach that target? What’s you profit %...
  • When you have finished 1&2 then you need to put your marketing plan together. What are you going to offer to attract the right customers that will be raving evangelists for your business? Don’t copy your oppersision copy the big players… they have spent millions of $ and thousand of hours researching what works. It has always confused me that people follow other people that are equal or less than they are, if you truly want success in your life & business you need to fly with the eagles and stop playing with the turkeys… humm interesting is that you… are you holding your self back.
  • Become a learning machine… the best of the best are where they are because they are consistently learning and growing. You can’t grow your business if you’re not willing to grow your self it just won’t happen. The world is moving forward rapidly, if you’re not moving as well you will be gone before you even get started.
  • Start every day with money making activity… If you’re not taking huge steps to grow your business it will wear you down. You should start your day with money making activity. What I mean is you should be starting up a marketing campaign, set an alliance that you both can profit form working together, make the sales calls, get on the phone and call all your prospects, send out some letters, do some sales training with you staff, I could go on all day but the truth is… you already know what to do! So as Richard Branson say’s JUST DO IT!
  • The most important step have fun doing what your doing! Do you think Richard Branson loves what he does, do you think he’s having fun. Do you think Donald Trump loves his job and enjoy’s the dealings that he does daily. You bet cha.

Just remember that there is always help to get the job’s done or the information that you desire, just look around and stop looking in your revision mirrior, what’s happened in the past no longer exisit’s, there is one think I can say… The future is bright and wonderful just stop for a while and look around and take it all in and there is always help all you have to do is take action and ask.
