Deciding on a professional image today is not simply a matter of "dressing for success" – on the business front, it is critical to not just look our best but also to project the right image of a company. John Azzi, leading national hairstylist, is urging employees all over Australia to start paying attention to their hair and beauty needs as a growing part of corporate culture.
Introducing Corporate Grooming Seminars at his stylish Sydney Strand Arcade Hair and Beauty Salon, John Azzi is set to redefine the image of individuals and companies, giving them a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Knowing how to manage your personal presentation so that you are instantly seen as confident and efficient is as critical as any business skill on a resume. The professional staff at Azzi will teach you how to pamper and preen yourself to achieve corporate style perfection.
Seminar topics cover all aspects of hair and beauty essentials, including styling and basic beauty techniques, polishing personal appearances, and are all about projecting a professional image. The cornerstone of John Azzi’s approach is about connecting with his clients on a personal level and developing their image from the inside out.
John believes that “looking great is about highlighting your personal best, bringing forward your values and character to ensure not just a good first impression, but a great lasting impression."
Having recently presented to staff at the Arab Bank Australia and Domayne furniture group, John has travelled extensively around Australia presenting seminars and workshops on hair and beauty, an industry he has been dedicated to for over three decades.
“My seminars have touched people who want to ooze confidence and feel good about themselves personally and professionally.” Clients claim improved productivity, self-esteem, confidence, morale and a number of other personal and professional benefits.
Aside from Corporate Grooming Seminars, John Azzi Hairdressers also offer Grooming Workshops specifically catered for ladies. A great way to spend a girls’ night out, customers are given personal advice on the best cut, colour, and makeup suited to their features, as well as ways they can manage their hair like a pro.
In today’s corporate world your appearance is one of your most powerful forms of communication and an effective strategic tool when used properly.
About John Azzi
John Azzi is an Australian icon, one of the best known names in Australian hairdressing and arguably one of the best hairdressers in the country. John Azzi’s illustrious career spans 30 years dealing with the tresses of the rich and famous.
After living in Beirut for much of his life, John traveled to Belgium to study hair dressing.
“I learnt so much in Belgium, but I was just one amongst many, and at that time there was little value in creativity”, says John. “I needed to move somewhere that would allow me to grow, and spread my wings.”
So Sydney became his home. Knowing little to no English, John opened a salon in the Strand Arcade, next door to one of the city's most famous salons. Big name next to a no name - John used his talent to build his clientele and now 30 years on, a market leader in the hair and beauty industry, he is stronger and more innovative than ever.
“I used to draw pictures for the clients, because I could not understand what they were saying. It was very difficult but it worked,” says John.
Recognising the stiff competition, John is one of the few hairdressers of his generation to survive in an industry that is forever out-hustling and out-gunning its competitors – his salon in the Strand Arcade is the longest standing hairdresser in the CBD. Further achievements to date include winning the Small Business of the Year award and being a finalist for consecutive years in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards.
As a man who invests heavily in imagination, he believes that half the solution to survival in the hairdressing industry, is creating trends and not assuming to know the wants and needs of the clientele.
John Azzi Salons are located on Level 2 of The Strand Arcade, Pitt Street and corner of Mandalong and Military Roads, Mosman. If you would like further information, please contact -
