FUEL right to FEEL right
By Bridget Thompson

As I sat, actually, stood, this morning at 9am to eat my LUNCH (yes I have peculiar ways!), I reflected on the importance of fuelling ourselves properly for our DAY.
So many people neglect food for the entire day, expecting to somehow run on empty and telling themselves, “We can get to that (food) later, right now there are more pressing and important issues….”
Sound Familiar? Later we find ourselves desperately reaching for a ‘get me by’ or a ‘pick me up’, feeling flat, stressed and like everything is such an effort. Once we finally arrive home a binge may erupt and the wine bottle may call, or perhaps following dinner we may get into the goodies.
It seems perplexing that day after day we experience the same cravings and challenges at similar times of the day. Is it not frustrating that we continually fight the same old demons?
There is a reason for your cravings and a reason you struggle to make the choices you would love to be making! It starts with breakfast, is followed by a morning tea and closely again by lunch and afternoon tea.
Neglecting food during your day does not serve you well. It will never lead to a consistently energetic, happy and productive existence. There will continue to be areas that suffer as a result of this neglect: your business, family, relationships, health, happiness, ability to be deal with stress, immunity, well being and your sanity!
Stop kidding yourself, stop making excuses and get real!
Here are three super quick and delicious lunch ideas you can all make time for, great for the winter season too! Yummy, satisfying and incredibly good for you and the life results you crave!
· Quick brown rice, steam fresh vegies and a tin of low fat flavoured tuna- Mmm! Or simply tuna and vegies followed by some fruit and/or low fat yoghurt
· Steam fresh vegies, a sachet of cup of soup or miso, or similar, and cubes of seasoned tofu or pre-grilled chicken breast. Steam vegies in microwave, sprinkle soup sachet over the top once done, add boiling water and chicken/tofu and VOILA! We have soup! J
· -Heinz Very Vegetable tin of Soup. Look for ones highest in vegies plus a soy and linseed roll, or slice of bread with avocado, or mountain bread toastie (low fat cheese slice melted in folded mountain bread using sandwich press).
All very convenient, quick and following the Perfect Meal Formula!
Bon Appetite!
