Mother Nature beats drugs when it comes to fighting menopause says Rhonda E Campbell Homeopath and Herbalist from Cronulla
Women are needlessly risking their health by taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) when there are natural ways to control debilitating menopause symptoms, warns Sydney homeopath and herbalist Rhonda Campbell.
Ms Campbell, who has successfully treated hundreds of menopause sufferers at her Sydney clinic and around the world, said you could gain quick relief by using herbal preparations, homeopathy and making a few simple diet changes.
“There have been a lot of negative scientific findings about hormone replacement therapy being related to an increase in breast cancer, heart attack, stroke and blood clots,” Ms Campbell said.
A new analysis released this month (June 2008) has shown that when use of the menopause treatment dropped by 40 per cent between 2001 and 2003, the rates of breast cancer among women over 50 also fell, by 6.7 per cent.
That is the equivalent of 600 fewer cases of this disease.
The researchers from Cancer Council NSW and Australian National University say the findings mimicked patterns seen in the US and New Zealand.
And while they could not prove the link was causal, the drop could not be explained by other factors, like increased breast screening and better use of chemotherapy drugs, said lead researcher Dr Karen Canfell.
So if HRT is dangerous to women’s health where do you turn when menopause symptoms are making your life a misery?
“Rhonda says I’ve proven time and time again with my clients that there are drug-free ways of getting even better results than HRT without all the nasty side-effects.
“These not only reduce those awful symptoms of menopause but they give your over-all health and energy levels a real boost.”
Debbie Ruffell from the UK suffered severe hot flushes, mood swings, and extreme fatigue before she signed up for Ms Campbell’s internet program on fighting menopause the natural way.
Within two weeks she had experienced a noticeable reduction in all her symptoms.
“The most important thing for me was the revelation that its possible to relieve symptoms that it seemed before were inevitable, with natural remedies that wouldn't have the awful side effects I had suffered with HRT,” Ms Ruffell said.
